“These roses under my window make no reference to former roses or to better ones; they are for what they are; they exist with God to-day. There is no time to them. There is simply the rose; it is perfect in every moment of its existence.” — Ralph Waldo Emerson
Have you ever wondered what life might be like if people didn’t compare each other with each other?
If people were more like flowers…
We don’t (I don’t) go around nature pointing out differences in flowers and other creations, comparing them, judging them, etc…
We just see them as they are; perfect as they are. Nothing more.
Nothing less.
They are as they are, and that is enough.
But for humans…haha…it’s a whole different story…
Me personally – I try not to judge others for being different or for being exactly who they are, but all the crabs in the bucket love pulling other people into it…
People go around trying to conform others to their beliefs, their way of living – and it’s usually funny because most people don’t have original beliefs. Their beliefs have been adopted from their parents, friends, governments, etc, and almost always conform to the collective consensus of whatever time it is.
here’s a relative quote from Emerson:
“For nonconformity the world whips you with its displeasure.”
My message to you is: Don’t conform.
Do your own research. Don’t just take someone’s word for it;
Experience it yourself.
Or conform…I really could care less 🙂
