Psychedelic Failures

“It is impossible to live without failing at something, unless you live so cautiously that you might as well not have lived at all—in which case, you fail by default.”
― J.K. Rowling

You failed at something.

You didn’t live up to the expectations others had of you, or that you had of yourself.

And others didn’t live up to your expectations.

And it hurt.

It made you feel weak, but you are strong.

Your purpose is greater than your fears.

And there are people in this world who support and appreciate you as you are.

The best people will come & celebrate with you and me, and whatever is for the others is for them.

People come into our lives for a reason, but not all of them are meant to stay.

The ones meant for your best life will come and stay, even if it’s from a distance.

You always know they are here.

And it’s love.

Psychedelic Love

“One is loved because one is loved. No reason is needed for loving.”
― Paulo Coelho

You are loved as you are.

Through your ups & downs.

Through your failures & achievements.

Through your thoughts & feelings.

Remember, you are loved and appreciated as you are.

Psychedelic Bridges

“We build too many walls and not enough bridges.”
—Isaac Newton

Imagine new profound connections.

This Newton quote is true both for ourselves individually within & for our world society.

I think this process begins within us as individuals – accepting & embracing who we are, as we are, & others as they are – without wanting or trying to change them or ourselves.

It’s when we build bridges within ourselves that we are able to build bridges with others & with life.

Psilocybin mushroom research has shown that ingesting psilocybin mushrooms increases neural plasticity & connections in the human brain.

It somehow builds bridges between normally closed connections within the brain’s hemispheres.

These connections open communication between the brain’s hemispheres, creating bridges where there were only walls before.

Psychedelic Oceans

“What we know is a drop, what we don’t know is an ocean.”
—Isaac Newton

Psilocybin guides me into this realization – that what each of us knows, even if it’s the most knowledgeable person, is a drop of knowledge in a limitless vast ocean of undiscovered knowledge.

And this realization is far from depressing – it’s ecstatically exciting knowing, as Einstein said: “We still do not know one thousandth of one percent of what nature has revealed to us.”

Psilocybin mushrooms as well as other good psychedelics & drugs can & should be utilized to access portals of alien knowledge.

Psychedelics combined with meditation practices are a great starting place.

The 7 Psychedelic Meditations can help you begin.

Psychedelic Life

“It’s better to have a short life that is full of what you like doing, than a long life spent in a miserable way.”
— Alan Watts

The quote really speaks for itself, and one way to realize the truth of this quote is to take a macro dose of psilocybin mushrooms.

Another Alan Watts quote to consider when tripping is “what would you do if money was no object?”

If you didn’t have to worry about money, what would you do?

Don’t limit yourself.

Dream the most far out dreams you can think of, and then let your dreams guide you ✌️😎🍄✨

Psychedelic Flight

“Once you have tasted flight, you will forever walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward, for there you have been, and there you will always long to return.”
— Leonardo da Vinci

Was da Vinci possibly talking about a psychedelic experience??

Because planes & any type of flying machine were non-existent in da Vinci’s time.

Maybe da Vinci ate some magic mushrooms & experienced the mystical, the transcendent, the beyond, or “flight” as da Vinci calls it.

And yes, similar to da Vinci, the mystical experiences I’ve tasted have created a longing in me to integrate the mystical into my daily life & appreciate those moments when they arise.

Psychedelic Living

“We are always getting ready to live but never living.”
-Ralph Waldo Emerson

One of the key characteristics of the true psilocybin experience is the experience of being completely pulled into the present moment so much that you lose your mind — that it to say — your thinking mind is nowhere to be found & you all of a sudden experience this moment without words & ideas.

It is an experience of being completely present with this moment here & now.

Thoughtless. Mindful. Meditated. Whole.

And from this moment, epiphanies of all sorts flow into your entire body, mind, spirit & soul.

So much so that it at times feels like alien communication.

Literally.

Psychedelic Fairy Tales

“If you want your children to be intelligent, read them fairy tales. If you want them to be more intelligent, read them more fairy tales.”
– Albert Einstein

My parents read me and my siblings fairy tales when we were young. They read us lots of stories from a range of authors.

One of my favorite memories is of my dad reading me and my brother (we shared a room) Shel Silverstein at night.

His stories are short yet brilliant, fun, and filled with deep meaning.

Shel’s stories are psychedelic, Soul manifesting, without a doubt.

The Psychedelic Experience is sort of like a fairy tale in that it is so odd & surreal that it doesn’t seem real, yet it is.

This is one of the main reasons I created The Psychedelic Trip Journal, for you to capture some of your surreal psychedelic experiences & be able to take them with you into your daily life.

There’s also both a writing & drawing section for you to create your own fairy tale & more!

Psychedelic Faith

“To have faith is to trust yourself to the water. When you swim you don’t grab hold of the water, because if you do you will sink and drown. Instead you relax, and float.”
– Alan Watts

Psychedelic Faith, simply put, means trusting life – however it turns out to be, & being open to whatever it turns out to be.

It’s like one of those trust falls where you are on a stage and fall backwards into the hands of those entrusted to catch you, and they do.

Psychedelic faith requires letting go of your deeply held ideas, beliefs, and opinions, which can be attained with the practice of Zen in The 7 Psychedelic Meditations.

Psychedelic State of Mind

“My city and state are Rome-as Antoninus. But as a human being? The world. So for me, ‘good’ can only mean what’s good for both communities.
-Marcus Aurelius

^This quote from the good Roman Emperor Marcus Aurelius encompasses what it means to have a psychedelic state of mind.

Albert Einstein said the same thing:

“I am by heritage a Jew, by citizenship a Swiss, and by makeup a human being, and only a human being, without any special attachment to any state or national entity whatsoever.”

Same with the philosopher Seneca:

“I know that my country is the world and that the gods are guardians, those judges of my deeds and words above and beyond me.”

The Psychedelic State of Mind is All-Inclusive. Literally. It has All in mind because it recognizes the humanity within us All.

That we all share many more similarities than differences.

That none of us had any choice whatsoever in where or how we were born.

None of us chose what skin color, gender, height, weight, or any other physical characteristics, but lots of people live life like they made that choice.

They didn’t.

No one did.

We are all human, and our foundations of bones are all the same.

An extreme example comes from the philosopher Diogenes when asked by Alexander the Great what he was doing. Diogenes responded with:

“I am searching for the bones of your father but cannot distinguish them from those of a slave.”

This remark at first might seem an insult, but it is far from insulting. Diogenes wasn’t being rude – he was pointing toward the truth of the matter. He wasn’t just telling Alexander the Great what Alexander the Great wanted to hear (as probably everyone else at the time did that)

Diogenes served as a reminder of Memento Mori — that no matter what position we hold currently, it won’t last.

That physical life is fleeting.

& that our real origin is beyond physical planes of existence.

That our true origin lives in invisible dimensions of spirit & soul, where we are all connected.

This is how the Roman Emperor Marcus Aurelius viewed life – as a citizen of the world, not as a separate individual.

This is how Albert Einstein perceived his life – as a citizen of this world, not as a separate individual.

These philosophers, geniuses, and emperors were able to perceive life from a higher perspective & see the larger picture, & it made a big difference.

This is what is means to have a Psychedelic State of Mind.
