Psychedelic Carpe Diem

“Carpe diem. Seize the day, boys. Make your lives extraordinary.” — Dead Poets Society, 1989

What does it really mean to “seize the day”?

Well, I’m glad you asked, although it means something different for each person.

What makes you come alive?

What activities &/or hobbies bring you joy? Peace? Flow?

Rather than solely existing and “solving problems” (in reality, nature, there are no problems), what if you found something you loved?

Something that added meaning to your life.

Something that allows you to express yourself.

Something that you continuously get better at, joyedly.

Something that people love to criticize you about, as you get better at it…as they watch your dreams come true from a distance.

As you continue to ignore them because they were never there with you or for you, ever. So they don’t even exist to you.

And you just keep on living, seizing the day, every day.

Carpe diem.

Psychedelic Sight

“To see we must forget the name of the thing we are looking at.” — Claude Monet

God created life.

Humans invented words…For many reasons – one being to describe the indescribability which life is.

Many humans have been conditioned to give names & labels to everything outside of them – & even everything inside of them, but real life is both much more & much less than any human label, any human word.

Real life is beyond words.

On your next trip I encourage you to look at something in nature & don’t label it.

Look at a tree and don’t say “this is a tree,” but just look at it.

Be with it.

Feel it’s energy.

It is much more than a tree.

Give thanks for it & then try looking at more things without labeling them with words.

Psychedelic Perspectives

“Experience life in all possible ways —
good-bad, bitter-sweet, dark-light,
summer-winter.

Experience all the dualities.
Don’t be afraid of experience, because
the more experience you have, the more
mature you become.”
― Osho

Something my psilocybin experiences have taught me is that all experiences we go through contain purpose within.

Both when we agree & when we disagree.

Both when we are right & when we are wrong.

Both when we experience joy & when we experience pain.

That these experiences we go through are all a part of a collective process…& that when we are able to perceive life from this Soul perspective, it all makes sense.

Because the reality of life is beyond ego constructs.

But the ego is so deeply cemented into us from the time we are born — & especially cemented into us throughout childhood & growing up.

Constructs that define us are reinforced again and again, telling us who we are, how & what to think & feel, & all sorts of biased mis-information.

^These constructs can be useful to a degree, but they often separate us from others & from the world around us.

When in reality, we are not separate at all.

From anything.

We are One with All.

This is who you are.

This is who I am.

This is who we are.

Soul.

Inward Reflections

“We have been to the moon, we have charted the depths of the ocean and the heart of the atom, but we have a fear of looking inward to ourselves because we sense that is where all the contradictions flow together”
-Terence McKenna

One of the main revelations I first experienced on a psilocybin trip is the relation & connection between our inner selves & the external world — that in reality, they are one & the same. There is no separation, but our egos say “yes there’s a big difference.”

^this experience can’t be explained. The only way for someone to understand this is to experience it themselves.

& this experience includes the entire universe — the cosmos, all galaxies, the oceans, the people, animals, trees, nature, all of it.

It reminds me of this Rumi quote:

You are not a drop in the ocean; you are the entire ocean in a drop.”

& I am convinced that this experience is the peace beyond understanding. Convinced.

Total bliss. Unconditional love. & it can be thought up – it can only be experienced.

Back to the first quote — people can continue looking for answers outside of themselves, or they can choose to finally look inward.

Psychedelics, specifically psilocybin shrooms, can guide people inside themselves…haha…it sounds funny but it’s the most real thing you can experience.

I’m excited to hear about your trip inward.

Here we go✌️😎🍄✨👽❤️

Psychedelic Nature Integrations

“Go to the meadows, go to the garden, go to the woods. Open your eyes!”
– Albert Hofmann

Psil Silva, To the Moon

These past 6 months I’ve spent my time in nature, on an island off the coast of the state of Washington.

You could say I was at a cross roads in life…

& this time in nature, away from “it all” has been a time of transformation, healing, & experience.

It has been a necessary reminder for me to never forget about nature, because we can’t live without it. Literally.

Once we realize this as a whole, that nature is keeping us alive, then we will all appreciate nature A LOT more.

Hopefully we can do this before nature decides to destroy humans – because as we all know, humans are the biggest threat to nature.

Nature knows this. It really does – & the knowing that nature has is wise beyond any & all human intelligences.

Truly.

& when you spend a lot of time in nature, with nature, you can come to this realization & understanding.

But humanity has mostly lost its connection with nature. It has forgotten nature – the source which keeps us alive. We’ve taken it for granted. Lots of people think & feel they are superior to nature, & that’s the type of thinking that will end a species.

We need to begin appreciating nature more, genuinely, and we can begin to do this by spending time in nature. You can go in nature with people but sometimes you need to go alone.

Sit with nature. Listen. See. Feel. Love.

Having New Eyes

“The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes.”
-Marcel Proust

What does it mean to “have new eyes”?

Well, it could mean many things – one of them being to alter ones consciousness via psychedelics or marijuana.

Alcohol alters consciousness too, but we all know that very little to no good comes from alcohol. We shouldn’t make alcohol illegal though. If people want to drink alcohol they should be able to, & I love drinking sometimes. Pro choice is my choice.

(I accept the effects, haha..)

Psychedelics on the other hand are extremely beneficial. They can literally, at least temporarily, give people new eyes. Yes, like Jesus giving sight to the blind – this is definitely similar.

In this case & possibly in Jesus’s time too, the “blind” are people that might be able to see – but their vision is skewed – they don’t see things clearly – they only see things how they think they are – from their personal, biased perspective.

What psilocybin mushrooms can do, especially with an experienced & trustworthy guide, is temporarily open peoples’ eyes to true reality – beyond human ideas. Real reality. Which can never be defined in words. It is beyond words. It’s an experience.

& it is fucking gorgeous.

Psilocybin Paradox

…So I clearly picked the stick up. Magic. It really did feel surreal. I later showed my friends who, at the time, we were all a little separated, walking around in our own worlds…but the same world.

^Another realization — The truth of Paradox.

I saw both sides of many coins, and realized that they were all true. Like just above, we’re all in the same world, but also, we all operate individually within ourselves, our brains, mind, or whatever. Heart too.

Another Paradox — That we are all connected and that we’re all separate. Similar to above. We’re all living individual lives, but beyond who we think we are(which might be ego?), is who we actually are — which is one entity. I’ll relate this one to living in the state you had as a child. There was a time in our lives, when we were really young, that we didn’t separate ourselves from anything. It could have been from our lack of knowledge/education….but it could have been that that is who we are in our purest form? We don’t fear anything. We don’t fear death because we don’t think about it. We’re truly living in the moment, thoughtless, and isn’t that what so many people try to do, or have always been trying to do? — reach that state of bliss, of no thoughts. We see people turn to drugs, alcohol, food, anything to try and get away from “ourselves”(who we think we are), and yes, psilocybin is considered a drug, but there are things that are legal, like Cigarettes, that are wayyyy worse for our health(not judging as I dabble sometimes, just comparing).

There are many reasons Psilocybin is illegal while there are numerous lethal things that are legal. We are on our way though, making progress, more people are opening up to it, and this is actually one of the good trends to follow

This comes from my experience though, so it may not be for everyone, but I believe in psilocybin’s benefits. It’s more than great seeing research and studies being done in this area, and I look forward to all that is to come from it 🙂

This was a short excerpt from My First Real Trip.
