Psychedelic Focus

“Newspaper taxis appear on your shore, waiting to take you away…”
– John Lennon

What does it mean to have psychedelic focus?

It means to have empowered focus. Focus that doesn’t give itself away unless it purposefully does so.

Focus that listens, but remains stable within self.

It means not letting newspapers carry your mind away like a taxi — To not give your attention to the bullshit news in the world, & to reclaim your mind.

Psychedelic Consciousness

“Culture is a plot against the expansion of consciousness.”
—Terence McKenna

Psychedelic consciousness goes in, out, & beyond the ordinary human consciousness. It takes us to & into the doors of perception, like Huxley spoke of.

And if we as humanity know of these genius tools & resources, why would culture ever try to stop them? To control them? To bring them down?

Culture, which is shaped by people in power, continues to live for more power, not to empower, as empowering is the psychedelic way.

But the 1% – the people with financial power who don’t ever work & don’t care about anything other than themselves – they don’t want an expansion of consciousness because they are so stuck in their ego.

If they woke up one day though, like actually woke up – after ingesting 3.5 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, they would actually perceive that it is beneficial for themselves & for all of humanity to increase & expand our consciousness.

They would see that this is not only beneficial but it is necessary if we are going to solve major problems we all currently face as a species.

So far I see some progress, but still very little.

Like HOW are plant medicines illegal?!?!?

^This is completely absurd. So absurd that I really have no words about this…it is INSANE!!!

^But this is a result of the people in power wanting more power – & they do this by trying to control people. & they don’t want people experimenting with their consciousness because then they might not be able to control them…

I know my choice.

I choose freedom.

And it’s up to each of us, as individuals, to make this choice, to empower ourselves & empower others as we work toward a better tomorrow for all.

Reclaim Your Mind

“You want to reclaim your mind and get it out of the hands of the cultural engineers who want to turn you into a half-baked moron consuming all this trash that’s being manufactured out of the bones of a dying world.”
— Terence McKenna

To reclaim your mind means to empower yourself, and when you are empowered, you have the ability to empower others.

The world, humanity, in its current states of power, is not trying to empower people. It’s trying to do the opposite – to enslave people…and yes, you should be afraid — and you should use your fear to learn how to empower yourself, because no one is coming to save you.

You have to save yourself.

Psilocybin showed me this & I am confident that psychedelics can show you the same thing – although it may take several trips, and some people don’t need psychedelics to realize this.

To each their own…

Be The Hero of Your Novel

“If you’re not the hero of your own novel, then what kind of novel is it? You need to do some heavy editing.”
-Terence McKenna

It’s easy to look outside of ourselves for answers – for someone else to save us. Like Jesus or Buddha, or the government….

haha…

What psychedelics can do, & what they have done for me is they have shown me that my life is my responsibility & that the answers are within.

If we wait on Jesus or whoever to save us, well, it just won’t happen. We need to save ourselves first, put on our life jackets, & then help others put their life jackets on.

Jesus & other spiritual leaders can guide us, truly, their messages & spirits can help us, especially when combined with psilocybin mushrooms.

But what they really do is they teach us how to live empowered lives.

They show us how to be the hero of our own story, as we are all called to be.

A Potential Downside To Having No Fear

…Anyway, back to the story, us chatting, figuring out answers to the world’s problems…or just strangely talking about nursing homes.

We talked for 30 or so minutes on the rocks, then I wanted to walk around. I told my friends I was going to walk around, just nearby, and that they can chill here if they want, but they were like “yea we’re gonna walk around with ya.”

“Where are you going?”

“No idea, just walking. Again, guys, you don’t have to come. I’m not walking far.”

But they insisted.

I led us away from the water, into open desert, toward the mountains, away from society.

In this moment I was feeling whole with everything, connected&one with all things. I felt love and had 0 fear. All fears completely dissolved and it felt like unconditional love. I was open to whatever life may bring in this moment.

Usually I loveeeeeee that feeling, but here is an example, from a previous trip, that shows the possible negative side of this:

It was my fourth or fifth time tripping on mushrooms-in 2011 I believe. 4 of us were tripping-college friends. A few hours in, at like 11pm or midnight, we decided to go for a walk to some nearby woods. I was familiar with these woods because I had lived near that area for the past few years(college), and taken many walks in it.

So, I was feeling fearless. We walk into the woods with no flashlights and no phone lights. Just darkness. There were no man-made lampposts or anything so it was pretty much pitch black. Our eyes did adjust somewhat after I forget how many minutes, but yea we could slightly see without any light.

After 10 or so minutes walking through the woods we see a campfire in the distance.

My first thoughts, and I said them out loud, were something like “we should say hi to them!”

One of my friends agreed, but the other 2 were like ehhhh, we probably shouldn’t do that. haha.

But I insisted, I thought something like ‘I’m sure they’ll love to talk. They’ll be so happy to see and talk with us.’ —but in reality, they were probably scared as shit. I was “no-fear” trippin.

So me and my one friend start walking toward the fire while the other two stayed.

As we got about 30-40 yards or so away, I thought I should gently, but loud enough, say something to the campers. We couldn’t see the people – only the fire and tents-we were somewhat far away, so we stop for a second and I’m like “heeyyyyy, hellllooooo” softly but loud enough for them to hear. We then saw the fire get put out so quickly before hearing tents zipping frantically.

And then it hit me, ‘oh yea, maybe this is weird. It is the middle of the night in the woods. We don’t have flashlights and we’re walking toward campers.’

So then I gently and friendly shouted something like “oh, uh, we were just saying what’s up, but we totally understand. Sorry about that!” We turned around and walk back to our friends.

Haha, yea, good times.

Now, 9 years later, I’ve acquired crucial experiences to prepare and cultivate empowering & safe trips.
