“My city and state are Rome-as Antoninus. But as a human being? The world. So for me, ‘good’ can only mean what’s good for both communities.“
-Marcus Aurelius

^This quote from the good Roman Emperor Marcus Aurelius encompasses what it means to have a psychedelic state of mind.
Albert Einstein said the same thing:
“I am by heritage a Jew, by citizenship a Swiss, and by makeup a human being, and only a human being, without any special attachment to any state or national entity whatsoever.”
Same with the philosopher Seneca:
“I know that my country is the world and that the gods are guardians, those judges of my deeds and words above and beyond me.”
The Psychedelic State of Mind is All-Inclusive. Literally. It has All in mind because it recognizes the humanity within us All.
That we all share many more similarities than differences.
That none of us had any choice whatsoever in where or how we were born.
None of us chose what skin color, gender, height, weight, or any other physical characteristics, but lots of people live life like they made that choice.
They didn’t.
No one did.
We are all human, and our foundations of bones are all the same.
An extreme example comes from the philosopher Diogenes when asked by Alexander the Great what he was doing. Diogenes responded with:
“I am searching for the bones of your father but cannot distinguish them from those of a slave.”
This remark at first might seem an insult, but it is far from insulting. Diogenes wasn’t being rude – he was pointing toward the truth of the matter. He wasn’t just telling Alexander the Great what Alexander the Great wanted to hear (as probably everyone else at the time did that)
Diogenes served as a reminder of Memento Mori — that no matter what position we hold currently, it won’t last.
That physical life is fleeting.
& that our real origin is beyond physical planes of existence.
That our true origin lives in invisible dimensions of spirit & soul, where we are all connected.
This is how the Roman Emperor Marcus Aurelius viewed life – as a citizen of the world, not as a separate individual.
This is how Albert Einstein perceived his life – as a citizen of this world, not as a separate individual.
These philosophers, geniuses, and emperors were able to perceive life from a higher perspective & see the larger picture, & it made a big difference.
This is what is means to have a Psychedelic State of Mind.
